Chava Aguirre
Salvador Benitez “Chava”  Aguirre, 79, of Snyder, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018 in Lubbock. 
Funeral service for Mr. Aguirre will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Raj Arokiasamy officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
A rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Born on May 30, 1939 in Epazotes, Mexico to Marcelino and Constancia (Benitez) Aguirre, he married Ninfa Arellano on May 11, 1957 in Tejupilco, Mexico. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and a roustabout in the oilfield.
He  was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Roselia Aguirre, and five sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Ninfa Aguirre of Snyder; three sons, Albino Aguirre and his wife, Eva, and Hermelando Aguirre and his wife, Mary, all of Snyder, and Rene’ Aguirre and his wife, Jennifer, of McKinney; two daughters, Elda DePaz and her husband, Isaias, and Magdalena Jaimes and her husband, Pablo, all of Snyder; one sister, Constancia Aguirre of Mexico; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Jesse De La o
Jesse “Cobra” De La o, 53, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018 in Snyder.
Funeral service for Mr. De La o will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Randy Asebedo officiating.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. De La o was born on Sept. 5, 1965 in Chicago Heights, Ill. to Jim and Ninfa De La o. He was a Jack-of-all-trades.
He was preceded in death by wife, Kathy De La o; his father, Jim De La o; his grandparents, Antonio and Catarina Torres, Jim Naranjo and Petra De La o; and one brother, Juan De La o.
Survivors include his fiance, Rosalinda Guzman of Snyder; one son, Jesus Manuel De La o and his wife, Juliana, of Snyder; three daughters, Jessica Ann Gonzaga and her husband, Indalecio, of Zion, Ill., Jacqueline Ana De La o and her fiance, Marco Herrera, of Snyder and Alejandra Lorraine De La o of Las Vegas, N.M.; one stepson, Michael Romero of Las Vegas, N.M.; 10 grandchildren, Liezeth Amor Romero, Maya Itzel Herrera, Selena Araza Herrera, Suzette Marlene Herrera, Yaralin Alita De La o and Leilani Bo De La o, all of Snyder, Adriel David Gonzaga, Daniel Gonzaga and Elizabeth Evelyn Gonzaga, all of Zion, Ill., and Dominic J. Trujillo of Las Vegas, N.M.; his mother,  Ninfa T. De La o of Snyder; two special godsons, Ruben De La o Jr. of Snyder and Jaime Vincent Olivarez of Lubbock; four sisters, Gloria Jaramillo and her husband, Leopablo, Maryhelen Lucero and her husband Charles,  and Norma Armijo and her husband, Anthony, all of Las Vegas, N.M. and his “Big Lil’ Sister,” Christina De La o and her fiance, Rene Rodriquez of Lubbock; his raised as a sister, Roseanna Vigil and her husband, Eliseo, of Las Vegas, N.M.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dillard Herrley
William Dillard Herrley, 90, of Snyder, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2018 in Snyder. 
Graveside service for Mr. Herrley will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hillside Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Larry McAden officiating. The service will be under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr.  Herrley was born on June 22, 1928 in Turney to Ivey and Bertie Mae (Emerson) Herrley. He married the love of his life, Johnnie Lou Buttrell, on Sept. 21, 1946 in Odessa. She preceded him in death on Jan. 13, 2000. They were married for 54 years. Dillard moved to Hermleigh with his family at the age of 11. He went to work as a carpenter  during the Snyder boom of the 1950s for 20 years. He then went to work for Sun Oil company for 22 years before retiring. After retirement, he loved to fish with his wife and friends and work in his yard. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bert Herrley.
Survivors include one daughter, Shelia Maki and her her husband, Keith, of Snyder; two sons, Keith Herrley and his wife, Karen, and Kirk Herrley and his wife, Kathy, all of Snyder; one brother, Sterling Herrley of Scottsdale, Ariz.; seven grandchildren, Kiron Kemp and Keri Edwards, both of San Angelo, Brandon Kemp and Kaleb Herrley, both of Snyder, Kara Smith of Big Spring, Keagan Herrley of Midland and Kelbie Herrley of Lubbock; and 11 great-grandchildren, Audrey and Avan Herrley, Jordan, Justin and Jax  Smith, Luke and Lexi Kemp, Edward Reyes, Kaylin and Jimmy Edwards and Alexis Guerra

Jesse Rodriguez
Jesse Ruiz Rodriguez, 89, of Snyder, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018 at Cogdell Memorial Hospital.
Funeral service for Mr. Rodriguez will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with Bill Ward officiating. The service will be under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
