Cheriann Derryberry

1946-2018

Cheriann Derryberry, 71, of Snyder, died Friday, March 2, 2018 in Snyder.

Funeral service for Mrs. Derryberry will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with the Rev. Matt Lowry officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. 

Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Born on May 4, 1946 in Denton to Joe and Della (Rabb) Cross, she married Danny Derryberry on Dec. 24, 1963 in Snyder. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2017. 

Mrs. Derryberry was a nurse for more than 30 years until heart disease took that love away from her. She treated most of Snyder between working for Dr. McSpadden and Dr. Burleson, as their office nurse. 

Later she loved going to the Scurry County Senior Citizens Center.  

She was also preceded in death by her parents, one great-grandson, Blake Dickerhoff, one sister, Alfa Cross, and two brothers, Frank Bostic and Red Bostic.

Survivors include two sons, Tim Derryberry and his wife, Stacy, and Justin Derryberry and his wife, Carla, all of Snyder; four grandchildren, Jordan Dickerhoff and her husband, Eric, Kutter Derryberry and Karissa Medina, Kaleb Derryberry and Ashlyn Derryberry, all of Snyder; three great-grandchildren, Brady Dickerhoff, Emri Dickerhoff and Kanen Derryberry, all of Snyder; and two sisters, Wanda Jones of Snyder and Joann Neal of Dickinson.

1961-2018

Billy Hall, 57, died Saturday, March 3, 2018.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

 

Sedalia Malone

1933-2018

Sedalia Lois Malone, 84, of Snyder, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, in Snyder.

Funeral service for Mrs. Malone will be held at 2 p.m. March 10 at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with the Rev. James Archie officiating. The Rev. Raymond Dunkins will assist. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Born on April 29, 1933 in Navarro County to Calvin and Annie (Williams) Green, she married Hulen Malone in Snyder. She was highly involved in the community and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Sandra D. Malone, one sister, Blanche Archie, and one brother, Tommy Joe Mitchell.

Survivors include her husband, Hulen Malone of Snyder; two sons, Herman Malone and his wife, Anita, of Lubbock and Rayfield Cooks of Midland; four grandchildren, Cassandra V.  Frye of Houston, Sherasa D. Thomas and her husband, Eric, of Dallas, Zuri D. Malone of Grapevine and Yulon D. Malone of Frisco; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Tanya Rhone

1970-2018

Tanya Lynn Rhone, 47, of Snyder, died Thursday, March 1, 2018.

Graveside service for Ms. Rhone will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hillside Memorial Gardens with Mark Williams officiating. The service will be under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Born on Nov. 12, 1970 in Bowie, to Thomas and Judy (Hardison) Rhone, she graduated Bowie High School. She  moved to Snyder with her family in 1992.

Survivors include her parents, Thomas and Judy Rhone of Snyder; one sister, Tracy Sanders and her husband, Les, of Snyder; two nieces, Kellie Sanders and Kassidy Sanders, both of Snyder; three nephews, Kevin Sanders, Kade Sanders and Kanyon Sanders, all of Snyder; and many uncles, aunts and cousins.

Bonita Joyce Taylor died Monday, Feb. 12, 2018 in Plainview. 

Memorial service for Ms. Taylor will be held 1 p.m. March 24 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview.
