Clorette Brown “Granny” Faulkenberry was called home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, June 11, 2019.
Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hobbs Cemetery. The service will be under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Born on Oct. 15, 1925 in Paris to Bert Brown Sr. and Georgia Brown, she moved to Richmond, Calif., where she met J.D. Faulkenberry. They moved back to Texas and they married on Aug. 1, 1940. They were married until his death in 1967. To all who knew her, she was a strong-minded independent individual. She liked sewing, cooking, crafting and gardening. One of her all-time favorite hobbies was sewing blankets or clothes for her grandchildren. Granny Clo loved listening to her son preach and talk about Jesus.
She was also preceded in death by her father, Bert Brown Sr.; her stepfather, Eugene Duke; her mother, Georgia Duke; two brothers, Bert “Sonny” Brown Jr. and Orville Brown; one son, Jesse Denver Faulkenberry II; and one daughter, Sheila “Tedes” Clorette Faulkenberry.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Faulkenberry of Snyder; three grandsons, Marc Faulkenberry and his wife, Jennifer, of Houston, Paul Faulkenberry and his wife, Sherry, of Snyder and Stephen Faulkenberry and his wife, Jennifer, of Clyde; six great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Rachel, Bailey, Ryan, Austin and Natalie; and one niece, Rita House,

Myrda Sue (Wishert) Ford, 80, died Sunday, June 9, 2019 in Snyder.
A memorial service for Mrs. Ford will be held at 2 p.m. June 29 in the Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel.
