James Beaver
James Edward Beaver, 81, of Sweetwater and formerly of Fluvanna, died Sunday, July 8, 2018 at his residence in Sweetwater. 
Funeral service for Mr. Beaver will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Sweetwater with the Rev. Ryan Strebeck officiating. Burial will follow at Fluvanna Cemetery under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Beaver was born on Aug. 21, 1936 in Snyder to Leo and Opal (Mitchell) Beaver. He married Lynda J. Smith on Feb. 17, 1956. She preceded him in death on May 30, 2001. He later married Ozane Pylant on Sept. 14, 2002 in Sweetwater. James was a farmer and rancher in the Fluvanna area for most of his life. He was past vice president, in 1969, and past president, in 1970, of the Young Farmers of Texas and a board member for many years. He was also past president of Midwest Electric and a board member from 1976-97, a board member of Golden Spread, the Fluvanna school board and ASCS. James was very active all his life in the Fluvanna and Sweetwater  Methodist churches. James was most recently a member of First United Methodist Church in Sweetwater and a member of the downtown Bible class. He loved to travel and was a member of an RV club. James was also an avid bridge player and square dancer. 
He was also preceded in death by his parents; his uncle, W.J. Beaver; his grandparents, W.J. Beaver Sr. and Stella Beaver; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wayne and Connie Smith; and one brother-in-law, Jerry Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Ozane Beaver of Sweetwater; three sons, David Beaver and his wife, Margaret, and Steve Beaver and his wife, Becky, all of Fluvanna, and Brad Pylant of Snyder; one daughter, Becky Cypert and her husband, Mark, of Snyder; eight grandsons, Monte Beaver and his wife, Brandy, and Chad Beaver and his wife, Kacie, all of Fluvanna, Lance Beaver of Austin, Dr. Cody Beaver of Lubbock, Preston Eaton, Bryce Eaton and Griffin Cypert, all of Snyder, and Tim Martin of Canyon; two granddaughters, Braylei Pylant of Snyder and Breianna Bairrington of Denton; six great-grandchildren, Reagan, Cale, Zane and Bryndle Beaver, all of Fluvanna, and Kreed Eaton of Snyder; and two sisters-in-law, Letha Mayfield of Lubbock and Charlotte Smith of Snyder.

Pedro Villa
Pedro Martinez Villa , 46, died Sunday, July 8, 2018 in Snyder.
Funeral mass for Mr. Villa will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Raj Arokiasamy officiating. Burial will follow at Snyder Cemetery under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.
A rosary will be held from 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Villa was born on Dec. 8, 1971 in Snyder to Vicente Villa and Rosa Martinez. He worked in the oilfield and enjoyed barbecuing with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosa Martinez, and one brother, Joe Villa.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Garza and his wife, Traci, Pedro Villa Jr. and Noel Villa, all of Snyder; two daughters, Rosemary Villa and Jayda Villa, both of Snyder; 13 grandchildren; four brothers, Otaviano Villa, Marcos Martinez Villa and his wife, Isabel, and Steven Martinez and his wife, Erica, all of Snyder, and Juan Carlos Martinez of Abilene; one sister, Margaret Martinez Villa of Snyder; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
