Roman Alvarado, 77, of Snyder, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Miller Family Funeral Home.
Charles Henry Berry, 87, of Wichita Falls, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018.
Funeral service for Mr. Berry will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home Chapel in Wichita Falls with Dr. Mike Dean officiating. Burial will follow at Rosston Cemetery in Cooke County.
Visitation will be held from 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
A son of the late Mildred E. (DeBorde) and Walter L. Berry, Charles was born on Dec. 16, 1930 in Forestburg. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1951-54. Charles worked for Halliburton as a shop foreman, retiring after 32 years. He was the spiritual rock of his family and a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls. Charles had fond memories of growing up on Clear Creek in Montague County and helping his mother plow with horses and mules. He was a wonderful storyteller who enjoyed sharing childhood memories with his family. He will be remembered as a man with a beautiful smile and wonderful laugh.
Along with his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wives, Carolyn Berry and Nelwynn Berry, and one sister, Sally Sue Berry.
Survivors include his children, Charles A. Berry and his wife, Jeanna, and Donna Foster and her husband, Kent, all of Iowa Park, Tommy J. Berry and his wife, Tammy, of Hermleigh, Steven P. Berry and his wife, Mary, of Gainesville and Dr. Michael Dean and his wife, Nan, of Fort Worth; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty June Kilmer of Plano; and three brothers, Walter Wayne Berry and his wife, Daphne, of Grand Prairie, Phillip Paul and his wife, Irene, of Florida and Johnny Berry and his wife, Martha, of Plano.

Ruby Parker, 98, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018 in Snyder.
Funeral service for Ms. Parker will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Roscoe Church of Christ. The service will be under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Sweetwater.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
It is with great sadness that the family of Colin James Turner announce his passing after a brief illness on Jan. 10, 2018, at the age of 67.
Memorial service for Mr. Turner was held at 10 a.m. today at Miller Family Funeral Home with Chaplin Walter McCall officiating.
Colin will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 24 years, Glenda, and their children, Deanna and her husband, Roscoe, and Kristy her husband, Justin. Colin will also be fondly remembered by his seven grandchildren, Bryson, Braxton, Brooklyn, Jayse, Kayden, Baylor and Kyliegh. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters, Dean and his wife, Marilyn, David and his wife, Marylin, Cheryl and her husband, Larry, Elizabeth and her husband, Rick, and Bridgette and her husband, David.
