Frank Fuentes Jr.
Francisco “Frank” Fuentes Jr., 60, of Snyder, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017 in Snyder after a brief illness.
Funeral mass for Mr. Fuentes will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Raj Arokiasamy officiating. Burial will follow at Snyder Cemetery under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Born on July 5, 1957 in Brownsville to Francisco and Theodola (Rios) Fuentes, he married Alicia Avila on April 29, 1977 in Snyder.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Alberto Fuentes.
Survivors include his wife, Alicia Fuentes of Snyder; two daughters, Leticia A. Fuentes and Felicia M. Silva, both of Snyder; three sisters, Rosa Maria Garza of Brownsville and Juanita Torres and Alicia Barrientos, both of Houston; one brother, Jose Luis Fuentes of Brownsville; one honorary brother, David Arizmendi of Snyder; two granddaughters, Isabel M. Rivera and Araceli N. Silva; and four grandsons, Macario Alberto Rivera, Noah L. Fuentes, Leonidas A. Fuentes and Ezekiel N. Silva.

Elnor Ruth Garrison, 74, passed away Monday, Dec. 4, 2017 at her home in Clyde.
Graveside service for Mrs. Garrison will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Oran Cemetery. The service will be under the direction of Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She was born on Aug. 28, 1943 in Mineral Wells to Clyde and Iva Glover Burns. She married Nick Garrison on Jan. 12, 1961 in Mineral Wells. She had lived in Mineral Wells most of her life and had moved to Clyde around 1990. She was a member of Hamby Baptist Church. She worked as a hairdresser for 20 years in Mineral Wells and Abilene.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Nick, on Feb. 16, 2003; one daughter, Kimberly Frie; and two brothers, Jimmy Dale Burns and Raymond Burns.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Diana and Nathan Mitchell of Hamby, David R. Garrison of Clyde, Beverly and Joe Pruitt of Abilene and Vanessa and Joe Stewart of Snyder; seven grandchildren, Menden, Crystal, Fallyn, Whitney, Amanda, Miesha, and Jeffrey; five great-grandchildren, Norman Burns of Woodward, Okla. and Glenn Burns, Ramona Evans, Jack Burns and Paul Burns, all of Mineral Wells; and numerous nieces and nephews.
