Keith Collier
1932-2018
Keith Thomas Collier, 85, of Snyder, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018 at his residence in Snyder.
Funeral service for Mr. Collier will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at 37th Street Church of Christ with Brady Collier and Will Collier officiating. A private burial will be held under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Keith Thomas Collier was born on Sept. 30, 1932 in Hawley to Thomas Mirt and Heddy “Lollar” Collier. He married Janice Hughes on March 2, 1951 in Fluvanna. 
Mr. Collier was in law enforcement for 36 years; 32 of those years he served as sheriff. He was president of the sheriff’s association, was the recipient of the Tom Tellepson Award and the Bill Decker Award, director of the Texas Association of Counties and president of West Central Texas Law Enforcement.  
Locally, he was a Gold Coater for the Snyder Chamber of Commerce, director of the Noah Project, member of the Snyder Lions Club and served on the Scurry County Hospital District board of directors. He was also a member of 37th Street Church of Christ and belonged to several RV groups.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Kenneth Collier, one son, Joe Collier, one grandson, Tucker Collier, and one great-granddaughter, Paityn Collier.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Collier of Snyder; two daughters, Keitha Brown and her husband, James, and Tracy Lewis and her husband, Randy, all of Snyder; two sons, Tim Collier and his wife, Connie, and Dwain Collier and his wife, Sheila, all of Snyder; one sister, Wanda  Joy Adams of Flatonia; four grandsons, Bronc Collier and his wife, Becky, and Will Collier and his wife, Lauren, all of Snyder, Brady Collier and his wife, Becky, of Lubbock and Ty Collier and his wife, Natalie, of Temple; and five granddaughters, Jami Hamrick and her husband, Heath, of Granbury, Haley Brown of Fort Worth, Kasey Boatright and her husband, Jeremiah, of Tyler, Jana Brashear and her husband, Brandon, of Snyder and Baylee Lewis of Lubbock.

Memorials may be made to Gateway Family Service, the Needy Children’s Fund at 37th Street Church of Christ or a charity of choice.

Jo Flynn
1923-2018
Jo Ervin Bailey Flynn, 94, of Santa Fe, N.M. and Snyder, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018.
Graveside service for Mrs. Flynn will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hillside Memorial Gardens. The service will be under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Belenda Wortham
1949-2018
Belenda Wortham, 69, of Ira, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2018 in Ira. 
A memorial service for Mrs.  Wortham will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Nicky Johnson officiating. The service will be under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Born on June 5, 1949 in Snyder to H.V. and Eula Faye (Darnell) Dosier, she married Johnny Lee Wortham on Sept. 18, 1967 in Snyder. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and a housewife.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny Lee Wortham of Ira; three daughters, Delinda Kay Brown and her husband, Bill, and Euline Vasquez and her husband, Fernando, all of Snyder, and Delora Porter of Ira; one son, Kalvin Lee Wortham of Ira; 10 grandchildren, Casey  Wayne Porter of Arlington, Melissa Kay Swenney and her husband, Brian, of Davidson, N.C., Jonnie Cordelia Porter of Ira and Branden Joe Lee Porter and his wife, Meagan, Estra Vasquez, Felipe Vasquez, Estrella Vasquez, Cipriano Vasquez, Benancio Vasquez and Michelle Charlette Vasquez, all of Snyder; and four great-grandchildren, Amelia Lynne Porter, Leland Joe Porter and Serenity Fayelynne Porter, all of Snyder, and Emily Grace Swenney of Davidson, N.C.
