Bruce Burleson, 66, of Snyder, died Saturday, April 7, 2018.
Memorial service for Mr. Burleson will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Burleson was born on Aug. 22, 1951 in Lubbock to Edward and Lamona (Brown) Burleson. He was an avid reader of history and current news.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include three daughters, Leslie Nicole Horan and her husband, Brennan, of Southaven, Miss., Sebela Burleson and Carla Burleson; four grandchildren, Landon Lockhart, Elissa and Ben Horan and Khloe Burleson; one sister, Teressa Anderson and her husband, Andy, of Athens, Tenn.; one brother, Jack Burleson of Lubbock; two nieces, India Cox and Circe Lynn McKinney; and one nephew, Drew Potter.

Billy John Voss, 83, of Snyder, died Wednesday, April 11, 2018 in Snyder.
Funeral service for Mr. Voss will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at 37th Street Church of Christ with Dale Huff officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Voss was born on Aug. 31, 1934 in Scurry County to John William and Loretta Jane (Barnett) Voss. He married Marie Gist on March 2, 1955 in Colorado City. They just celebrated 63 years of marriage.
Mr. Voss served the community as president of the Farmers Co-op Gin, Snyder ISD board of trustees, Scurry County Appraisal District board of directors, a big proponent of the Cogdell Memorial Hospital board, Snyder Chamber of Commerce and the Southwest Cattle Raisers Association. In 2015, he received the Jack and Ann Smartt Award from the Scurry County United Way campaign. Bill was a lifetime member of the 37th Street Church of Christ.
He was a lifetime resident of Scurry County, a rancher and stock farmer. He was a firm believer in helping children and orphans and those in need. He loved his community and his agricultural way of life. He knew that way of life depended on God.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Ann Preston.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Voss of Snyder; three daughters, Jennifer Bufkin and her husband, Larry, of Snyder, Lisa Marie Crump and her husband, Mickey, of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Billie Bright and her husband, Mike, of Baird; four grandchildren, Brad Hinton and his wife, Misty, of Snyder, Leslie Dukes and her husband, Mike, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Shay Franks and his wife, Ashlye, of Midland and Chad Franks and his wife, Madison, of Katy; six grandchildren, Brite Hinton, Madison Hinton, Paxton Franks, Beckham Franks, Lailah Dukes and Emmery Franks; and one sister, Jane Simpson of Midland.
