Glendena “Dena” Rae Bryant, 79, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2018 in Arlington.
Funeral service for Mrs. Bryant will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Huddleston officiating. Burial will follow at Ira Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bryant was born on Dec. 31, 1938 in Gorman to Bob and Henrietta Dupree. Her family moved to Snyder in 1947 and she lived there until 1959 when she married Ferrell Bryant and moved to Arlington. Graduating from North Texas State with a bachelor of arts degree in history and a teaching certificate, she taught Texas history at Handley Junior High School until leaving to devote herself to being a mother. Her family was her pride and joy. She had a knack for making others feel special. Always a teacher, she created lessons with everyday things and challenged others to think. She was an active member of Good Shepard United Methodist Church. She was a good mother, wife and friend.
Survivors include her husband, Ferrell Bryant of Arlington; one daughter, Jana Dodson of Richardson; one son, Paul Bryant of Arlington; five grandsons; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter.

Daniel Fish, 41, of Brownwood and formerly of Snyder, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018.
A celebration of life service for Mr. Fish will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at 4891 CR 4131 in Hermleigh. The service will be under the direction of Brownwood Funeral Home.
Jim Sullenger, 71, of Edmond, Okla. and formerly of Snyder, died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018.
A celebration of life service for Mr. Sullenger will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Riley Funeral Home in Hamilton with J.D. Young officiating.
