Dorothy Atkinson
1931-2018
Dorothy Mae Atkinson, 86, of Snyder, died Thursday, July 19, 2018 at her residence.
Funeral service for Mrs.  Atkinson will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kevin Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 5-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Born on Dec. 12, 1931 in Caddo to David Arthur and Goldie Louise (Shaffer) McCarthy, she married Kenneth Atkinson on Jan. 22, 1949 in Breckenridge. He preceded her in death on Dec. 8, 2007. Dorothy was a member of First United Methodist Church in Snyder and worked as a bookkeeper for Southern Electric. She often volunteered in the church office. She was a square dancer and loved to bake and cook. She was also an avid watcher of Wheel of Fortune and loved to travel. 
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca Allen; three sisters, Mary Cox, Margaret Kinny and Betty Atkinson; and two brothers, David McCarthy and Joseph McCarthy.
Survivors include one daughter, Pamela Biersdorfer and her husband, Mike, of Odessa; one sister, Shirley Pribble of Buffalo Gap; five grandchildren, Kari Kirkland of Amarillo, Shelly Isaacs of Canadian, Nicole Thames of Midland and Kenneth Biersdorfer and Brittney Biersdorfer, both of Odessa; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Jane Crenwelge
1938-2018
Jane (Joyce) Crenwelge, 79, of Snyder, died Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Cogdell Memorial Hospital. 
Funeral service for Mrs. Crenwelge will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Snyder with the Rev. Ben Reid officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Garden under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.  
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. 
Martha Jane Crenwelge was born on Nov. 23, 1938  to Amos and Tommie Joyce. Jane graduated from Snyder High School and Texas Christian University. She married Ted Crenwelge on Dec. 31, 1959.  Following their graduation from TCU, the couple moved to Snyder and engaged in the farming business for 52 years. For many years, Jane also worked as a substitute teacher for Snyder ISD. She was a member of First Baptist Church most of her life. Jane taught Sunday school classes for many years. In addition, Jane served on the board which founded the Noah Project, now known as Gateway Family Services. She was active in the Cosmorama Study Club and several bridge clubs. Jane was a lifetime member of Martha Ann Woman’s Club.   
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.  
Survivors include one son, Scott Crenwelge and his wife, Lana, of Snyder; one daughter, Carrie Cox and her husband, Elliott, of Snyder; four granddaughters, Courtney Boyd and her husband, Ben, and Alison Davis and her husband, Riley, all of Snyder, Teddi Crenwelge of Midland and Katy Coulter and her husband, Kyle, of Lubbock; two grandsons, Jake Crenwelge and his wife, Jordan, and Hunter Cox and his wife, Lauran, all of Snyder; and seven great-grandchildren, Beck Boyd, Brittyn Boyd, Landyn Davis, Rhett Davis and Jett Crenwelge, all of Snyder, and Owen Coulter and Scottie Coulter, both of Lubbock.
