A firefighter battled a brush fire on Highway 84 near Fluvanna Tuesday around noon. The Fire Department received several calls reporting grass fires in the area along Hwy. 84 between CR 2134 and Fuller Ranch Road shortly after 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Fire Department was able to bring the fire under control and extinguished it early Tuesday afternoon.
