Constitution Week play

As part of the Daughters of the American Revolution celebration of Constitution Week, Snyder Christian School students will present a play at 2 p.m. Thursday in the First United Methodist Church sanctuary.

 

Ladies Night Out

Ladies Night Out will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at Spanish Inn.

 

Church anniversary

Northside Baptist Church will celebrate its 75th anniversary during the 11 a.m. service on Sunday. A fellowship lunch will follow the service.

 

Community worship service

A communitywide worship service, hosted by First Presbyterian Church and First United Methodist Church, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Sunday on the Presbyterian Church parking lot, located at Ave. R and 28th Street. A meal will be served after the service.

 

SHS homecoming parade

The Snyder High School homecoming parade will begin at 2 p.m. Sept. 25. Parade entries will begin lining up at 1 p.m. at the Snyder Shopping Center. The parade will end on the downtown square and a pep rally will be held on the Scurry County Courthouse lawn. To enter the parade, email kearly@snyderisd.net.

 

Men of Iron breakfast

The Scurry County Men of Iron fellowship breakfast will be held at 7 a.m. Sept. 27 at Skeet’s Texas Grill.

 

Country dance

The Scurry County Senior Citizens Center has set a country dance from 7-10 p.m. Sept. 22 at the armory. Attendees are asked to bring a covered dish.

 

Jamaica celebration

Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church will host its annual Jamaica celebration at 10 a.m. Sept. 27.

 

Steel Magnolias

Steel Magnolias will be presented at the Ritz Community Theatre at 7 p.m. Oct. 8-10 and 2 p.m. Oct. 11. Tickets are $10 each and may be reserved by calling 573-5061. 

 

Pink Run

A 5K run/walk will be held Oct. 10 in Towle Park. The cost is $15 for children between the ages of eight and 11 and $20 for ages 12 and over. Call 574-7441. 

 

A Deceitful Day in Deception 

A Deceitful Day in Deception will be presented at the Ritz Community Theatre at 7 p.m. Nov. 6-7 and 2 p.m. Nov. 8. Tickets are $10 each and may be reserved by calling 575-2347.
