Constitution Week play
As part of the Daughters of the American Revolution celebration of Constitution Week, Snyder Christian School students will present a play at 2 p.m. Thursday in the First United Methodist Church sanctuary.
Ladies Night Out
Ladies Night Out will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at Spanish Inn.
Northside Baptist Church will celebrate its 75th anniversary during the 11 a.m. service on Sunday. A fellowship lunch will follow the service.
Community worship service
A communitywide worship service, hosted by First Presbyterian Church and First United Methodist Church, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Sunday on the Presbyterian Church parking lot, located at Ave. R and 28th Street. A meal will be served after the service.
SHS homecoming parade
The Snyder High School homecoming parade will begin at 2 p.m. Sept. 25. Parade entries will begin lining up at 1 p.m. at the Snyder Shopping Center. The parade will end on the downtown square and a pep rally will be held on the Scurry County Courthouse lawn. To enter the parade, email email@example.com.
Men of Iron breakfast
The Scurry County Men of Iron fellowship breakfast will be held at 7 a.m. Sept. 27 at Skeet’s Texas Grill.
The Scurry County Senior Citizens Center has set a country dance from 7-10 p.m. Sept. 22 at the armory. Attendees are asked to bring a covered dish.
Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church will host its annual Jamaica celebration at 10 a.m. Sept. 27.
Steel Magnolias will be presented at the Ritz Community Theatre at 7 p.m. Oct. 8-10 and 2 p.m. Oct. 11. Tickets are $10 each and may be reserved by calling 573-5061.
A 5K run/walk will be held Oct. 10 in Towle Park. The cost is $15 for children between the ages of eight and 11 and $20 for ages 12 and over. Call 574-7441.
