Bert Brown
1929-2004
Bert Brown Jr., 74, died Friday, May 7, at his home in
Snyder after a sudden illness.
Graveside service for Mr. Brown, a mechanic, was held at
2 p.m. Saturday in the Hobbs, Texas, Cemetery. A nephew, Jesse Faulkenbery of Snyder, was
to officiate. Arrangements were under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Brown was born Dec. 24, 1919 in Ardmore, Okla.
Survivors also include a sister, Clorette Faulkenbery of
Snyder.
Mary Cross
1935-2004
ODESSA -- Mary Ellis Cross, sister of Sue Wortham of
Snyder, died Wednesday, May 5, in the Hospice House.
Service for Mrs. Cross, 69, is set for 2 p.m. Monday in
Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Cynthia Mobley officiating.
Born March 6, 1935 in Roby to Walter and Ann Neves, Mrs.
Cross was a bartender for 15 years. She last worked at the Midland International Airport.
Survivors include three sons, Lloyd Ray Cross and Daryl
Cross, both of Odessa and Joe Ellis Cross of Vista, Calif.; a daughter and son-in-law,
Lisa and Chris Blanchard of Odessa; a brother, Joe Neves of Lubbock; six grandchildren,
LaShae Cross, Brandon Hollingsworth, Kyle Blanchard, all of Odessa, Chris Cross of Vista,
Calif., and Austin Cross of Ruidoso, N.M.; and one great-grandchild, Bryndee Hart.
