Scurry County commissioners court Monday will hear a proposal to help the peace justice court, county court and district court collect delinquent fines and fees.

The court also will discuss security measures and systems at the various facilities owned by Scurry County. One proposal was presented last month, but no action was taken.

Representatives of Ira and Dunn water system will attend the meeting to request assistance from the county in making application for a grant to replace and repair various water lines in the system.

Commissioners will also consider a resolution to oppose a proposal from Texas Gov. Rick Perry to cap any increase in property tax or valuation at three percent.

A tract of land donated last year to the Department of Public Safety for a new office in Snyder also is on the agenda for Monday’s 10 a.m. meeting.

Regional DPS officials are scheduled to attend, but the agenda makes an allowance so that the meeting could be recessed and then reconvened at the DPS building to discuss the two-acre tract located at 37th and Ave. L.

Also on the agenda are line-item transfers and budget amendments.
