Some 127 diplomas will be awarded at Western Texas College during commencement exercises starting at 7:30 this evening in the central courtyard.

Stormy Clark of Snyder, the top female student, Shinichiro Ito of Japan, the outstanding male graduate, with speak on “Experience and Expectations.”

Donny Brown, faculty association president, will give the response.

The awarding of the degrees and certificates will be by Dr. Jim Palmer, dean of academic instruction, and John Gibson, dean of workforce education, with the presentation to graduates by Lee Presswood, board president.

Dr. Greg Williams, WTC president, will give the welcome and the Rev. Buddy Payne, pastor of First United Methodist Church, will give the invocation. The Rev. Kenneth Martin, pastor of the Ira First Baptist Church, will offer the benediction.

Processional and recessional music will be played by Terrie McWilliams. Members of Phi Theta Kappa and the Student Government Association will serve as ushers.

A reception in honor of graduates will follow in the student center for friends and family of all graduates.
