A six-year-old Snyder youth is in serious condition in Covenant Medical Center’s pediatric intensive care unit following an accident Monday evening between the scooter he was driving and a 1997 Chevy Blazer.<p></b></i></u>
Amos Garcia of 512 32nd Street was first transported by Snyder EMS to Cogdell Memorial Hospital’s emergency room and later transported by EMS to the Lubbock hospital.<p></b></i></u>
The accident occurred in the intersection of 33rd Street and Avenue G as Garcia was driving his 2003 Freedom scooter northbound in the southbound lane of traffic. Garcia, son of Lisa Garcia of Snyder, reportedly failed to yield right of way and struck the auto in the right side passenger door. <p></b></i></u>
The Blazer was driven by Anissa Tatum, 32, of 35 Helms Heights. No charges were filed.</b></u></i><P ALIGN LEFT><hr>
