The Snyder Little Dribblers senior all-stars advanced to the national tournament with a 53-42 victory over Levelland last weekend.

Lance Day scored 14 points, snatched five steals, dished out five assists and grabbed nine boards to lead the way for the all-stars, who will play in the national pool April 14-17 in Levelland.

Blane Knipe and Brent Bollinger each canned nine in the contest, with Knipe hauling in six rebounds.

Brooks Gafford collected 10 boards and scored six points, and Travis Hatfield knocked in seven.

Brendon Jones and Jared Cave put in three points each, and Dustin Murdock added 2.

Despite 34 points and 15 rebounds from Day, the all-stars were stopped by Plainview I, 52-48.

Gafford had 10 boards in the contest and Murdock hauled in five. Both players scored two points.

Knipe had four and Bollinger and Brandon Jones added three each.

In the first game Saturday, Snyder edged Andrews, 31-24, in overtime.

Day had 12 points, 11 rebounds and five steals, and Gafford grabbed 10 boards and added seven points.

Knipe recorded six points and collected seven rebounds, Bollinger put in four and Jared Cave rounded out the scoring for the senior all-stars with a two-point field goal.

The Little Dribblers major all-stars took two of three in their tournament.

The majors opened with a 35-24 loss to Plainview. Jake Crenwelge led the team with nine points, and Rey Juarez and Anthony Taylor knocked in six each. Alex Hernandez added three.

The team got scoring contributions from nine players in the second game, a 34-26 win over Andrews.

Kenyon Gafford led the way with eight points, as well as securing four boards.

Crenwelge added six and four rebounds, and Rey Juarez contributed five points, five assists and nine rebounds.

Taylor canned four, Shade Roemisch hit for three, and Justin Gaines, Kylor Fine, Jonathon Kerr and Hernandez scored two points apiece.

The all-stars won their third game, 34-25, over Plainview II.

Juarez had a game-high 13 points and nine rebounds, while Roemisch hit for three points and grabbed four boards.

Gafford and Kerr secured seven and six rebounds, respectively, and Taylor posted five points.

Ty Burton and Gaines contributed two points each.
