Four members of Snyder varsity basketball teams were honored Sunday, being selected to the Abilene Reporter-News’ All-Big Country basketball team.
Sophomore Lady Tiger Sirena Medrano was a first-team selection for the girls. Medrano helped lead Snyder to a perfect district record and its first district crown since 1980, as well as the first playoff win in program history.
Medrano averaged 12 points, five rebounds and three steals per game this year.
Senior Lee Scott was the lone representative for the Tigers on the Big Country team, earning a first-team berth after averaging 17 points, seven rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.8 steals per game this season.
Senior Erin Burleson was recognized with a second-team selection. The on and off the court leader of the Lady Tigers, Burleson averaged 12 points, five rebounds, three assists and 2 steal per game.
Freshman point guard Terann Ragland also was named to the second team, with 11 points, six boards, five assists and three steals.
