Trustees extended staff contracts and voted to non-renew one contract due to a reduction in force (RIF), said Supt. Larry Devitt.<p></b></i></u>
The RIF affects Joanna Roemisch, fifth grade teacher who also teaches sixth grade science.<p></b></i></u>
Roemisch has a term contract with the district and can appeal the board’s action, said Dr. Devitt.<p></b></i></u>
Dr. Devitt explained the RIF as the school district having to cut back on expenses.<p></b></i></u>
