Cogdell Memorial Hospital board of managers has an executive session planned during Thursday morning’s board meeting to discuss and possibly approve the employment of a new chief executive officer.
As it stands now, however, only Carol Hanes of Linden remains as a finalist.
Evan Moore, the CEO at the Comanche Hospital District, withdrew from consideration prior to a scheduled second interview Tuesday evening.
The two were the only candidates invited back for a second round of interviews after the interviews with five candidates.
Board chairman Dink Foree said it would be up to the board on what action is taken Thursday.
“I suppose we could start over with the process,” said Foree. “It’s up to the entire board.”
In addition to the closed session, the board also will hear the year-end quality improvement report and the quality improvement plan for 2004 as presented by Jo Beth Hardegree.
Dr. Bid Cooper, chief of staff, will present the monthly medical report, and interim financial officer Richard Murphy will present the financial statements and monthly bills for certification.
Director of nurses and acting administrator Cheryl Chance will give the nursing and administrative report and the patient transfer report.
The meeting is at 7:30 a.m. in the hospital boardroom.
