Cogdell Memorial Hospital’s board of managers will interview one of the two remaining finalists for the vacant chief executive officers position in a 6 p.m. meeting Tuesday.
William Evan Moore, currently the CEO of the Comanche County Hospital District, will meet with the board.
Moore has been with the Comanche hospital since November 1996, and also has worked at hospitals in Shiner, Lockhart, Palestine and Philadelphia.
He is a graduate of Sul Ross University in Alpine.
Also expected to meet with Moore are local physicians, and department heads of Cogdell Hospital.
The board, plus physicians and department heads met last week with the other finalist, Carol Hanes, of Linden.
Hanes is the CEO of the Linden Municipal Hospital and also has served as the CEO of the Garland Community Hospital, Twin Rivers Regional Hospital and Senatobia Community Hospital in Mississippi.
She is a graduate of Texas A&M at Commerce, and received her MBA from the University of Dallas.
The CEO search is being conducted through the Texas Organization of Rural and Community Hospitals.
The vacant CEO position is one item on Thursday’s hospital board agenda.
Board chairman Dink Foree said Saturday that he hopes the board makes a decision on the new CEO Thursday.
