Following an executive session of just over 30 minutes this morning, the Development Corporation of Snyder board of directors unanimously voted to give executive director John DeLille a three percent pay increase.
DeLille’s annual salary is now $53,560. Prior to this morning’s board action, his salary was $52,000. The action followed the annual evaluation of the executive director.
In the only other action items, the board approved the monthly financial statements and prior meeting minutes.
In his monthly report, DeLille reported on the bankruptcy hearing for Snyder Brick & Tile set for 1:30 Wednesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Lubbock.
The company has filed for Chapter 11 reorganization.
Papers submitted to the court indicate that a failed sale of the business contributed to the bankruptcy due to information about the proposed sale leaking out from the prospective buyer.
Board chairman Dayton Robertson presided at the meeting and board members present were Jeffrey Martin, Rickey Daniell and Roy McQueen. James Brown was absent.
