The Snyder boys track and field team delivered another impressive performance over the weekend, earning four first-place finishes and three runner-up spots to take the team silver at the West Texas Relays in Odessa Saturday.

Snyder collected 122 points in the meet, 11 behind meet champion Monahans and 25 better than third-place Wylie.

In addition to topping the field in four events, the Tigers set nine personal records in the meet.

The 800m relay team of Justin Boyd, Jeff Bruton, Zach Cain and Malcome Wells set a stadium record -- though not a personal record -- with a first-place time of 132.24.

Cain set a personal best and claimed the gold in the 300 hurdles with a 41.06, and Boyd had his highest-ever mark in the high jump, winning the event with a leap of 6-4.

Ricky McNatt bested the field by almost eight feet in the discus, taking home the gold with a distance of 149.57 feet.

Boyd, Cain, Wells and Jesus Juarez teamed up to set a personal mark of 43.83 in the 400 relay, good enough for a silver medal.

Wells ran the 100m dash in 11.20 for a second-place showing. He took home the bronze in the long jump with a leap of 20-8.

Josh Muniz set two personal records at the Relays, winning the silver in the 3200m run with a best-ever time of 10:57. Muniz also set a personal mark in the mile, running it in 5:00 for the bronze.

Israel Torrez also had his best performances in those two events, coming in sixth in the 3200 with a personal record time of 11:25. He came in just behind Muniz in the mile, topping his best time with a 5:02. Arthur Hernandez was right behind them in the 1600 with a personal best 5:02 for fifth place.

D’Angelo Davis set a new personal mark in the long jump with a distance of 20-1 for sixth place.

Demetrius Brandon had a pair of top-five showings, winning the bronze in the shot put with a heave of 43-6, and earned fifth with a distance of 133.06 in the discus.

Boyd was fourth (23.40) in the 200m run and Garrett Pinson (17.33) was fourth in the 110 hurdles.

Snyder also notched a fifth-place finish in the 1600 relay.

The Snyder girls placed seventh as a team, collecting 40 points in a tough field.

October Wells took home a pair of silver medals, and Candace Chandler earned a bronze.

Wells was second in the triple jump with a distance of 34-9.25, and just missed the gold in the 100 dash with a time of 12.78 -- .01 seconds behind the winner, Marissa Henderson of Crane.

Chandler crossed the line in the 400 run in 1:05.12 for third place.

The girls 1600 relay team was fourth, and the 400 relay team was fifth.
