The Snyder Lady Tigers got three no-hit innings from Kelsi Johnson Monday, securing a 6-5 win over Coahoma to reach .500 on the season heading into the district opener against Lubbock Cooper Friday.
Ashley Martinez pitched two innings in relief and was perfect at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles.
Terann Ragland was 3-for-4 with a triple, a double and four RBI, and Brianna Bernal add ed a triple for the Lady Tigers (8-8).
“Kelsi was on, but we made some errors behind her,” head coach Darren Pool said. “We are pretty optimistic, but we have to take it one game at a time and stay focused each game. We’ll take our shots as we get them.”
The junior varsity played its Coahoma counterpart to a 4-4 tie.
The Lady Tigers will play the Lady Pirates at 5 p.m. Friday at Cates Field.
