Curlie Daniels
1930-2004
Curlie Mae Woodson Daniels, longtime Snyder resident,
died Sunday, Feb. 22, in Snyder Healthcare Center.
Graveside service for Mrs. Daniels, 73, is set for 10
a.m. Saturday in the Snyder Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Wright
Colonial Funeral Home.
Born on March 29, 1930, in Falls City, she was married to
the Rev. Willie Temmie Daniels on May 29, 1971. He died Jan. 4, 1982.
Two stepchildren, Edna Lee Lewis and Willie Lee Daniels,
also preceded her in death.
Survivors include her mother, Celia Paul of Snyder; seven
grandchildren, Peyton Daniels of Snyder, Sulovan Daniels of Odessa and five other
grandchildren of Houston; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Fuentez
1930-2004
Anastacia Aguilar Fuentez of Snyder died Monday, Feb. 23,
in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock after a lengthy illness.
Service for Mrs. Fuentez, 74, is set for 10 a.m. Saturday
in St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Fr. Timothy E. Judd will officiate. Burial will follow
in Snyder Cemetery with arrangements by Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today and Friday at the funeral
home.
Born Jan. 22, 1930 in Lubbock, she married Hilario
Fuentez on Aug. 17, 1948 in Lubbock. He died Nov. 8, 2002. She also was preceded in death
by a son, Miguel Fuentez. Mrs. Fuentez was a homemaker.
Survivors include six daughters, Irene Canales and Anita
Medina, both of Snyder, Rosie Martinez of Alice, Carol Barrera of Colorado City, Eva
Salcido of Midland, Joanna Stone of Pampa and Tina Molloy of Slidell, La.; six sons,
George, Steve, Luis, Johnny, Jimmy and Manuel Fuentez, all of Snyder; four brothers, Juan
Aguilar of Johnstown, Colo., Frank, Marcelo and Benito Aguilar, both of Lubbock; two
sisters, Margarita Lozano of Lubbock and Josephina Perez of San Angelo; 32 grandchildren;
and 19 great-grandchildren.
Truby Coffman
1907-2004
LUBBOCK -- Truby Coffman, the grandmother of Zola
Schlegel of Snyder, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, in Garrison Geriatric Center in Lubbock.
Funeral service for Mrs. Coffman, 96, is set for 10:30
a.m. Friday in the Sanders Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lloyd Stice officiating.
Interment will follow in the Anton Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
Born April 22, 1907 in Jones County, she married Harold
Coffman on Sept. 22, 1925 in Plainview. She and her family operated Coffman Food Store in
Anton. She was an LVN at the West Texas Hospital, primarily in the emergency room. She was
a Methodist and a member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Coffman of Lubbock;
a daughter, Zelda Teague Barnett of Lubbock; another granddaughter, Malva Smith of
Lubbock; five great-grandchildren, Kellie Schlegel of Lubbock, Jay Smith of Houston,
Russell Schlegel of Amarillo, Therin Smith of Lubbock and Leah Smith of Dallas.
Family visitation is set for 6-7 this evening at the
funeral home.
