The new state-mandated Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills test (TAKS) will be administered starting Tuesday at Snyder, Hermleigh and Ira schools.<p></b></i></u>
TAKS writing will be Tuesday for grades 4 and 7, and TAKS reading for grades 9.<p></b></i></u>
The TAKS English Language Arts also will be Tuesday for grades 10 and exit level.<p></b></i></u>
The TAAS writing exit level re-test also will be given Tuesday, while Wednesday, the TAAS exit level math test will be given at Snyder High School, and Thursday, the exit level reading test also will be given at SHS.<p></b></i></u>
Senior students currently enrolled at SHS who have not shown mastery  on one or more portions of the TAAS are eligible to take the re-test.</b></u></i><P ALIGN LEFT><hr>
