A 31-year-old Lubbock man will now serve eight years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice following a probation revocation hearing Friday in 132nd District Court.
William Blake Sescil, serving a 10-year probated sentence for the 1995 burglary of a Scurry County home, was ordered to prison by District Judge Ernie Armstrong.
The motion to revoke the probation was based on Sescil’s failure to abstain from drugs, failure to report to probation authorities and failure to pay monthly probation fees.
Also on Friday, John Tyler Runnels, 19, of 2212 26th Street, pleaded no contest to a Sept. 6, 2003 charge of possession of a controlled substance.
Runnels was assessed a five-year state jail sentence, probated for five years, and fined $1,000.
