Students that received ratings of I on their Class I solo and qualified for competition at Texas State Solo-Ensemble Competition in San Marcos on Memorial Day.
Students receiving a I rating were Molly Haire, Logan Martin, Michael Nelson, Stephanie Parmer, Rebecca Pavlovsky and Ryan Ward.
A female ensemble made up of Sarah Carpenter, Lacey Kincaid, Samantha Moyers and Rebecca Pavlovsky also qualified for state by receiving a rating of I on the Class I quartet.
A men’s quartet of Logan Martin, Michael Nelson, Cade Simpson and Chris Smith also received a rating of I in their performance.
MasterSingers, the SHS show choir, performed two selections and received a rating of I on their performance. There is no show choir division at the state level, so they will not advance to state.
An ensemble composed of Megan Crisp, Alexis Dupree, Megan McCormick, Marisa Munoz, Brandon Robbins, Jeremy Rodriguez, Temi Thompson, Brent Tyler, Ryan Ward and KiKi Wofford received a rating of II on the Class I Madrigal.
Students earning a rating of II on a Class I solo were Nadia Chairez, Devin Chandler, Sarah Crawford, Alexis Dupree, Adrienne Garcia, Corie Hernandez and Michelle Miller.
Students receiving a I rating on a Class II solo were Megan Crisp, Ricky Early, David Martin, Samantha Moyers, Marisa Munoz, Cade Simpson and Temi Thompson.
Earning a rating of II on a Class II solo were Morgan Bilderback, Bryan Clifton, Tara Gilliland, Niki Hernandez, Lacey Kincaid, Megan McCormick, Dalesa Traylor, Brent Tyler, Orlando Vasquez and KiKi Wofford.
Receiving a rating of I on a Class III solo were Starla Early, Ramsey Herrera, Staci Lee, Cody Reed, Brandon Robbins, Kyle Sanchez, Sarah Traylor, Courtney Tyrell and Sydney Wright.
Students receiving a rating of II on a Class III solo were Jaedi Baze, Allie Brewster, Sarah Covington, Whitley Fulford, Kaitlyn Greenlee, Chelsea Hackfeld, Jeremy Rodriguez, Corbin Smith and Mica Triggs.
Also competing in the solo division were Kaylee Lacik, Michael Mann, Natalie Martinez, Candace Rice, Tara Robertson, Tana Sullenger, Jessica Calvert, Sarah Carpenter, Annette Martinez, Mechelle Renfro, Leon Triggs, Lance Turner, Elizabeth Arellano and Yvette Cerda.
