The Ira Lady Bulldogs dropped a close game to Sands Friday, losing their top scorer in a 45-41 loss.
Senior post Lindsey Wilson hurt her wrist late in the game, sitting out the fourth quarter and getting a check-up at the emergency room after the gam e.
Head coach Brent Parr said the Lady Bulldogs (10-13, 4-5) lacked energy in the contest.
“We didn’t come out with enthusiasm and we missed some shots,” he said. “We tried to play hard, we just couldn’t find any energy.”
Kelbi Pitner led the team with 15, while Wilson canned eight before her injury.
Amanda Calley and Whitney Payne contributed six points apiece, Kate Wall knocked in four and Brittany Dickerhoff added two.
The Lady Bulldogs close out the regular season at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at district champion Borden County.
