The Hermleigh Cardinals once again had a strong second half Friday, but could not overcome a 23-point halftime deficit in falling to Westbrook, 72-43.
The Wildcats outscored Hermleigh 23-10 in the first quarter and held a 40-17 lead at intermission.
Joakim Ludvik had 10 points to lead the Cards, and Justin Williamson banged in nine.
Jonathan McClure and Keenon Garcia added seven each.

The Lady Cards were outscored 35-19 in the first and final quarters Friday in a 70-47 loss to Westbrook, despite 24 points from Alana Culp.
Hermleigh trailed by 13 at halftime.
Georgeanne Smith cashed in for eight points, Brittney Kelly canned six, Alicia Culp added five and Brittany Jones recorded four points.
