The Snyder boys had an outstanding showing in the first round of the Snyder Invitational golf tournament, holding firm in third place, just three shots off first-day leader Lubbock Monterey.
The Tigers finished the round with a 316, just one stroke back of second-place Andrews.
Alan Gray paced the Tigers, firing a 73, the best individual score in the field Friday.
Jay Weaver carded a 79, while teammate Jake Cottrell shot an 80.
Wyl Wiggins added an 84 and Tanner Bloom had an 88.
The tournament was scheduled to continue Saturday morning and conclude that afternoon.
