The Hermleigh Lady Cardinals secured their first district win of the season Tuesday, outscoring Blackwell 15-3 in the pivotal third quarter to take a 52-34 victory.<p></b></i></u>
Hermleigh (6-12, 1-7) led 24-17 at halftime, extending it to 39-20 by the end of the third quarter.<p></b></i></u>
Alana Culp stepped up with 20 points to lead all scorers, and Brittany Jones added 16 for the Lady Cards.<p></b></i></u>
Georgeanne Smith added eight, Brittney Kelly knocked in five and Alicia Culp contributed three.<p></b></i></u>
The Lady Cards will travel to Westbrook to battle the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m.<p></b></i></u>
