The Snyder freshmen girls were bounced from the championship bracket Friday, losing to host Frenship, 50-41, at the Frenship Tournament.
The frosh charged back in the second half, after getting outscored 36-12 in the first two quarters.
Katie Crenwelge led all players with 17 points, while Candace Chandler hit for 10.
Desiree Cortez added seven, Brianna Bernal hot for 4, Ashley Pavlovsky contributed two and Courtney Tyrrell hit a free throw.
The team was slated to play for third place at 10:30 Saturday morning against Evans Junior High.
The Snyder freshmen boys fell in a tightly-contested game with Sweetwater, 71-68.
The frosh held a five point lead at halftime, but Sweetwater bounced back to tie it at 51 after three quarters.
Donald Jeffery had a game-high 18 points, Tagaba Kyei pumped in 17 and Ryan Mitchell hit for 15 for the Tigers, who were slated to play the winner of Seminole-Lamesa at 10:30 Saturday morning at the Lamesa freshmen tournament.
