The Lady Tigers will face a familiar opponent in the area round of the softball playoffs.

Perryton, which shocked Snyder, 5-3, in the first round last year, topped Dimmitt, 20-0, in the bi-district round.

The Lady Tigers (19-9, 11-1) were scheduled to host a practice game at 1 o’clock today against District 8-2A champion Idalou.

The Tigers will host a game against Post at 1 p.m. Saturday at Moffett Field. With the win over Sweetwater, the Tigers earned a bye in the first round. Their area round opponent will come from the winner of the bi-district game between Muleshoe, the runner-up in District 2, and Amarillo River Road, the third-place team from District 1.
