Sponsored by the WTC Faculty Association, the ceremony will recognize the outstanding male and female students at the college, along with numerous other students in the academic, athletic and vocational departments.
Also to be recognized are students who have been selected to Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges.
To be eligible for the outstanding student awards, students have to be nominated and selected by WTC faculty members based on grade point average, campus involvement and service to the community.
Also at the Thursday ceremony, the All-USA Academic Team nominees will be recognized.
Donny Brown, Faculty Association president, will serve as the master of ceremonies.
Chairing the ceremony is Jeanine Wilburn and other committee members are Gerald Corkran, Stephanie Ducheneaux, Sue Freemeyer and Melanie Graf.
Following the ceremony, a reception will honor all recipients.
