Only Western Texas College and Hermleigh ISD are holding elections as Snyder and Ira school districts, along wi th the City of Snyder did not have contested races develop.
At WTC, incumbent Place 3 board member Carolyn Barbee, owner of Barbee Medical Supply, is opposed by Bob O’Day, a former WTC athletic director and golf coach.
At Hermleigh, three people are vying for two places on the school board.
Burton Sandefur and John Williamson, both former board members, and Billy Luna filed for places being vacated by Sherene Digby and David Higgins.
Neither Digby nor Higgins chose to seek new terms.
Early voting ends May 11.
