Monty Blakely

1936-2004

WAUSAU, Wisc. -- David Monty Blakely, a former resident of Snyder, died April 20 in Wausau after a lengthy illness.

Memorial service for Mr. Blakely, 68, is set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 1, in Restlawn Memorial Park and Cemetery in Wausau. It will be followed by a full military honors burial.

Born Nov. 16, 1936, he was the youngest son of Sherman and Maudie Blakely. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired in Wausau.

Mr. Blakely married Patricia Sebunia on Oct. 11, 1962 in Wausau. They returned to Snyder and he was employed by Higginbotham-Bartlett before moving back to Wausau.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Blakely of Wausau; a daughter and son-in-law, Annette and Don Huston and granddaughter, Elizabeth, of Wausau; three sisters, Shirley Payne of Lubbock, Iris Lynn Stewart and husband Leslie of Kerrville; and Islasu Minor and husband Rudy of Snyder; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.

 


Jerry Bob Lloyd

1936-2004

GOODING, Idaho -- Jerry Bob Lloyd, a Snyder native, died Wednesday, April 21, following a heart attack while driving a truck through Winnemucca, Nev.

Services for Mr. Lloyd, 67, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Gooding Demaray Chapel. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

Born Aug. 6, 1936 in Snyder, he married Lavell Hart on May 11, 1956 in Snyder. He was a 1954 graduate of Snyder High School.

His parents, Raymond and Leta Lloyd; two brothers, Carl Ray Lloyd and Jimmy Don Lloyd, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife Lavell Lloyd of Payette, Idaho; three sons, Greg Lloyd of Albuquerque, Tony Lloyd and wife, Lisa, of Idaho; and Doug Lloyd of Payette; one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Roger Casch of Oxford, Ore.; three sisters, Eltine Vines and Pat Cornett, both of Snyder, and Dot Beaty of Odessa; and six grandchildren.
