Snyder High School’s one-act play, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, did not advance from the Region I UIL contest Friday at Odessa College, but three students received recognition.

Coleman Welch and Logan Martin were named to the all-star cast and Corie Hernandez received honorable mention recognition.

SHS principal Larry Scott said the drama students “gave one of their best shows on Friday,” adding that they have had a great season.

Scott noted that representatives from two other schools told him they “were shocked we did not advance. But it came down to one judge’s decision.”

Michael McQuerry is the director.

Advancing schools were Seminole and Little Elm. Vernon is the alternate.
