A playoff spot is on the line for the Seminole Indians when they come to Snyder tonight to battle the first-place Tigers at 7 at Moffett Field.
The teams faced off April 6, with the Tigers escaping Gaines County with an 14-8 win, thanks to 14 hits and a home run and five RBIs from lead-off hitter Blake Grimmett. Grimmett also threw four innings for the victory.
Head coach Charles Bollinger said Seminole, which leads Merkel by one game for the final District 3 playoff spot, “always gives you their best punch. It should be a great game, and we expect a big crowd tonight.”
The Tigers are hoping to rebound from their first district loss of the season Tuesday at Merkel, while the Indians remained in third after a 12-3 win over Denver City.
The Tigers will send Ryan Mitchell to the hill, while the Indians starter will be a game-time decision.
