The top ten student-winners in the 17th Congressional District from the 23rd Annual Congressional Art Competition for high school students were recognized as the congressional art brunch this Saturday in Abilene.<p></b></i></u>
Three Snyder High School students were among the 10 winners including Kristel Fitts, Stephanie Williams and Sara Thornhill.<p></b></i></u>
Students’ parents and art teachers also attended the brunch. Cong. Charles W. Stenholm, 17th Congressional District, met the art students.<p></b></i></u>
Stenholm has hosted eight regional competitions in recent weeks, leading up to Saturday’s art brunch that honors the top 10 and the overall winner.<p></b></i></u>
The winning art entries were displayed during the brunch. <p></b></i></u>
The winning entry from Stenholm’s district will be exhibited -- along with art from students in the 434 other Congressional Districts in the U.S. -- for one year in the tunnel space between the U.S. Capitol and the Cannon House Office Building in Washington.</b></u></i><P ALIGN LEFT><hr>
