Snyder golfers earned 12 spots on the 2004 All-District 3-3A golf team, with seven of those spots on the first team after the boys and girls captured dual district titles.

Sophomore Jay Weaver was the top medalist in the district with a three-round total of 223.

Junior Alan Gray shot a 225 and was the third medalist in the district.

Joining Weaver and Gray on the boys first team are junior Jake Cottrell (233) and junior Tanner Bloom (229).

The girls placed three on the first team, with senior Cami Trout earning third medalist with a 239. She is joined by sophomore Christi Williams (250) and freshman Ashley Luecke (253) on the first team.

Snyder placed five on the second team including junio rs Wyl Wiggins and Cole Robertson for the boys and freshmen Shannon Mangis and Heather Derington, as well as junior Brooke Jackson, for the girls.

The teams will compete in the regional tournament beginning Monday, with the boys teeing-off at Nueva Vista in Midland and the girls playing at Ratliff Ranch in Odessa.

There will be a send-off for both teams at 9:15 a.m. Sunday at the sophomore parking lot at Snyder High School.
