The Lady Tigers can clinch a share of the District 3-3A title when they take on Denver City at 5 p.m. today at Cates Field.

The Lady Tigers (17-9, 9-1) lead Lubbock Cooper (8-2) by one game and Merkel (7-3) by two.

A win combined with a Cooper loss would give the Lady Tigers their second consecutive outright district crown.

Snyder topped the Fillies, 16-4, when the teams met on March 26, with Kelsi Johnson pitching a six-inning complete game and striking out seven.

The game also is the last at home for the Lady Tigers, and will include ceremonies honoring the teams’ seniors.
