Geneta Richards
1930-2004
Geneta Richards died Wednesday, April 14, at her home in
Snyder.
Funeral service for Mrs. Richards, 74, is set for 2 p.m.
Friday in the Wright Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Dan Crawford, pastor of
Victory Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Ira Cemetery and
arrangements are under the direction of Wright Colonial Funeral Home.
Born April 7, 1930 in Content, Tx., she married Wilmer
Richards on Nov. 16, 1946 in Novice.
Mrs. Richards, a member of Victory Baptist Church, worked
in the meat department for Furr’s and IGA for 20 years, retiring in 1990.
Survivors include her husband, Wilmer Richards of Snyder;
a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Barbara Richards of Snyder; a brother, Charles
Stephens of Novice; a sister, Louise White of Snyder; a grandson, Tim Richards of Denton;
a great-grandson, Lucas Richards of Denton; and two step grandchildren, Stephan Kirk of
Snyder and David Kirk of Alabama; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 this evening
at Wright Colonial Funeral Home.
