BORGER -- The Western Texas College rodeo team kept pace in the Frank Phillips rodeo Friday, with two top performances in the long round.

Sam Spreadborough stayed in the top spot in saddle bronc with a 77, and Tate Stratton took the lead in bullriding after earning an 81 Friday.

Hadley Hunting turned in a third-place score of 73 in saddle bronc, and Clay Bunney is in second in bull riding with a 73.

Bruno Paoiella held the number two spot with his partner in team roping, and Tara Woodall was third in barrels with a 17.89.

Three other WTC riders broke into the top 10 Friday: Jamee Roach was 10th in breakaway roping with a time of 3.3 seconds, Justin Simmons was eighth in bullriding after scoring a 73 and Lance Nixon was ninth in bulls with a 71.

The Frank Phillips rodeo was scheduled to conclude with the championship round Saturday night.
