Snyder school trustees will get another look at the district’s long-range strategic facilities report when the board convenes at 6 p.m. today.

In March, Bill Branum of Total Program Management (TPM) presented his company’s findings, along with the accompanying price tag of $30 million for completing the wish list.

At last month’s meeting, Branum said his firm was not making recommendations, just identifying needs.

Most of the needs are a result of the district’s aging facilities, as most buildings are more than 50 years old.

Supt. Ronny Collins said TPM was invited back since two board members were out of town last month.

“We’d like the entire board to hear the presentation at one time,” the superintendent said.

Dr. Collins added that the board would be discussing what the district does as a result of the survey. “We’re likely to be visiting about this for a time to come.”

In other business, trustees will certify incumbent board members Luann Burleson and Cathy Peoples as duly elected since they were unopposed in the May 15 election. As a result of no contested races, the trustees also will vote to cancel the election.

Other action items include the formal acceptance of four resignations and the approval of a 2003-2004 budget amendment.

Letters of resignation have been received from Carolyn Limmer and Carolyn Derouen, both SHS home economics teachers, and Northeast first grade teacher Sandra Baker and SHS social studies instructor Kelly Porter.

Also on the agenda is a discussion of early release waivers.

The meeting will be in the boardroom of the administration building.
