Combined bank deposits in Snyder were $240.1 million at the end of the year’s first quarter, an increase of $8.8 million compared to the same time in 2003.
Financial institutions reporting deposits at the close of business on March 31 were Snyder National Bank, West Texas State Bank, Texas Savings Bank and American State Bank. First American Bank does not report individual bank data.
On March 31, Snyder National reported total deposits of $93.3 million, an increase of $900,000 compared to the same period last year, but a decease of $6.9 million when compared to the year-end deposit figure.
Wes t Texas State Bank reported total deposits of $79.3 million, an increase of $3.3 million at the same time last year and a jump of $1.1 million when compared to the year-end deposit total.
Deposits at Texas Savings Bank totaled $40.5 million at the close of 2004’s first quarter, an increase of $4.2 million when compared to the same period in 2003. Deposits reflected an decrease of $600,000 evaluated against year-end totals.
American State Bank total deposits were $27 million, an increase of $400,000 compared to the first quarter of last year, and an increase of $1.1 million since 2003’s close.
Total loans were $95.7 million, a decrease of $2.8 million at the end of last year’s first quarter when total loans were $98.5 million.
Loans at Snyder National were $28.2 million, a decline of $700,000 compared to the same period last year, and an increase of $700,000 when compared to the close of 2003.
At West Texas State Bank, loans totaled $31 million, a decrease of $4.8 million from the same time last year and a drop of $3.3 million when compared to the year-ending total.
At Texas Savings Bank, loans totaled $36.5 million, an increase of $2.7 million compared to 2003’s first quarter and an increase of $700,000 since the end of the year.
