Ira senior Jake Barnes was named the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal’s All-South Plains Player of the Year on its Class A Division II team released today.<p></b></i></u>
Barnes led Ira to the playoffs for the first time in three seasons, dominating the other post players in District 7-A with an average of 21 points and 14 rebounds per game. Ira went 7-3 in district and lost to Aspermont in the bi-district round of the playoffs.<p></b></i></u>
Senior Lindsey Wilson also earned recognition for her work this year. She was selected to the All-South Plains second team.</b></u></i><P ALIGN LEFT><hr>
