The lone agenda item is the evaluation of Gayle and it will be in executive session.
Personnel at city hall said the evaluation is being conducted today due to the lengthy agenda for Monday’s regular council meeting.
In a different approach this year, city employees were asked to complete an evaluation form on the city manager.
Mayor Francene Noah had an evaluation form mailed to each employee and they were to be returned by Thursday.
Employees were asked to evaluate Gayle on personnel management, fiscal and facilities management, and professional growth and development.
Grading was on a five to one scale with outstanding being five and ineffective one.
The employees were asked to comment on any grades below three.
Mayor Noah said no council action is anticipated tonight, and that any action would come at Monday night’s regular meeting.
The city council has had two other sessions in past months dealing with the city manager’s annual evaluation.
