A seven-woman, five-man jury began hearing testimony today in the injury to a child trial of Kenneth Breedlove.

Breedlove, 37, of 107 Ash was indicted in March for striking a female member of his family with his fists on Feb. 2.

District Attorney Dana Cooley is prosecuting the case and the defense attorney is Kenneth Maxwell of Sweetwater.

District Judge Ernie Armstrong is presiding.
