Ira ISD’s board will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6:30 this evening in the Ira Community Center.

A number of reports will be heard, including regular information reports from Supt. Dr. Larry Devitt and business manager Jan Duke.

Dr. Devitt will present the ESL (English as a second language report), as well as the TAKS test results.

Bids will be considered for the school’s bank depository, an amendment to the 2003-2004 school calendar is expected, and bids for milk also will be reviewed.

An executive session is scheduled to discuss personnel matters.

The district is currently taking applications for a school principal as Mike Duke has resigned to take a position with the Iraan-Sheffield Consolidated School District.

Duke had served as principal at Ira since June 2000.
